Mike Charbonneau, MS, serves as Chief Communications and Marketing Officer for the ABA. He oversees all public relations, marketing, messaging, branding and engagement. Mike is a former journalist and a communications leader with more than 25 years of experience. Before joining the ABA, he led communications teams and strategy at NC State’s College of Veterinary Medicine, GoTriangle and the North Carolina Department of Transportation. Mike began his career in broadcast journalism and worked as a reporter for WRAL News in Raleigh, NC for most of that time. As a journalist, he received two Emmy Awards and an investigative reporting award from the Associated Press. He also teaches and leads the communication internship program at NC State University.
